We love it here in Salome, AZ.
Salome is a small, quiet town with friendly people. It's about 100 miles west of Phoenix, 50 miles west of Wickenburg, and 40 miles east of Quartzsite.
Its one of the best places in Arizona to stargaze or enjoy a stunning sunset.
The town has lots of history, and many buildings from the 1910's are still standing.
We can't wait for you to see it!
We are an “over-55” resort.
At Desert Palms, we strive to provide an environment that is relaxing and calm for our valued residents.
We require that at least one of the renters for an intermediate or long term stay be over 55. Short term pull-through rentals may be approved for guests who are under 55.
Young children who are short term guests or who are visiting longer term residents must have an adult with them at all times to ensure the child's behavior is not disruptive or dangerous.
There’s lots around.
Trails and beautiful open desert abound, but there are also many local businesses to serve you, including retail, restaurants, bars, churches, gas stations, auto repair shops, and a US Post Office.
Mexico is close enough for a day adventure. A trip will require a passport.
For our boat enthusiasts, the Colorado River is about 1 hour west of the resort, and Lake Alamo State Park - a favorite fishing spot - is also about 1 hour away, north of Desert Palms.
